When someone asked you what you did for a living you couldn’t wait to respond, “I’m a recruiter”, because you just knew that the person would want to be your friend. After all, who doesn’t want to know a recruiter! You were the 24/7 Salesman of your organization. Selling your positions, your organization, and your benefits. What so many recruiters forget, or worse never experienced, is why they got into recruiting in the first place. Don’t you remember the excitement of talking to your customers, having a complete understanding of the position you are hiring for. Remember when you found those Rock Star candidates that were interested in your recruitment and you couldn’t wait to present them to your customer(s). Remember that “thrill to fill” mentality! You lost that lovin' feelin' Now it's gone, gone, gone, who You lost that lovin' feelin' Whoa, that lovin' feelin' ![]() ![]() In a recruiter’s line of work it can be easy to get stuck at your desk in a never ending circle of emails, phone calls and paperwork. Bogged down by process, waiting on someone to approve something in that process, correcting ever little technical aspect of the recruitment, making your notes, on and on, etc… etc… Get out of the funk! And more important, get out from behind your desk. Go do a site visit.
