![]() And that is another think, the I have played the original when it came out and I would have rated it an 8/10 due to grinding and the bosses not being as interesting in combat. I have clocked in about 128 hours into this game and I have enjoyed the bosses more than I did as well as the new social locations and the new confidants. So I picked this copy up and and the £60 was worth it. I have played the original when it came out and I would have rated it an 8/10 due to grinding and the bosses not being as interesting in combat. Okumura's arc sucked, and that's pretty much all I have to say about this game, a masterpiece indeed. The story could still be a bit better, some characters are annoying, and it's way too long. Well I only said good things about this game, but my reasoning for why it's 9/10 instead of 10/10, is because, once you get used to the flashy visuals, the game starts losing it's style, and you start noticing it's flaws. The Maruki arc, introduced in royal, was probably the best one story wise, and the ending was much better than the original's. This game implements the time management better than any other game I've ever played (alongside Fire Emblem Three Houses), and the aesthetics for this game are the most remarkable I've ever seen. This is a great modern JRPG that you can't miss out if you like the genre, being very remarkable and fun. It added a few characters, with two outstanding ones, being Maruki and Kasumi, which I think are some of the best written characters in the entire game. Royal fixed both of those flaws (mostly), and made the combat system even better. ![]() My main complaint about persona 5 vanilla, was that the plot could've been a lot better, considering only a few parts really surprised me, and a few characters needed to be more well built. Pretty much everything in this game is great, the game looks gorgeous with it's incredibly stylish UI, and outstanding music, very well done turn based combat and good enough plot. My main complaint about persona 5 vanilla, was that the plot could've been a lot better, Persona 5 was one of my favorite games of 2017, and royal did not disappoint on making a masterpiece, even better. RPG Site also pointed out that many of the game's new audio options are only seen in the PC port, which made it stand out further.Persona 5 was one of my favorite games of 2017, and royal did not disappoint on making a masterpiece, even better. If a PC can handle it, then the game can run at 8k at over 60fps, all without running into stuttering or mouse calibration issues (via DSOG).Ĭritics have also raved that the presentation of the game on PC is full of small details that fans will love, like a cursor in the shape of a dagger (which was pointed out by PC Gamer's Oscar Taylor-Kent). Another benefit to the PC port of the game, according to RPG Site, is that it give players a ton of options for how they want the game to run, and which settings they want to prioritize. With things like shadow quality and depth of field being adjustable, players can find the perfect settings for their set-up. ![]() This includes pushing the game to run in 4k at 120FPS, which performed well for the reviewer. Alex Donaldson from VG247 explained that the art style is gorgeous in any resolution. ![]() One of the biggest wins for the PC version is just how stunning the game looks. Even when compared to the other ports of "Persona 5 Royal," the PC port saw some minor improvements over the others. Beyond that, critics have been fascinated to see the story of the Phantom Thieves play out on a new platform, and the PC port seems like the best place to enjoy it.
